Privacy Policy
How Project Zomboid Servers handles your data.
Account
You sign in with Discord. We store your Discord account id, username, avatar and email, and — if you link them — your game platform ids (Steam, EOS, Microsoft, Twitch). Linked ids are used to redeem your votes for in-game rewards on the servers you vote for. When you redeem a vote in-game, we record a claim entry (the platform id used, the server, and the time) that the server operator can see, so a reward isn't handed out twice.
Votes & fraud prevention
When you vote we record the vote, the time, and your account. To stop vote manipulation we also store, as fraud-prevention data only:
- a one-way salted hash of your IP address — we never store the raw IP;
- a random device identifier set in a
vote_devicecookie.
Both are automatically deleted after 90 days. The vote itself is kept as the record of your support and for reward redemption.
Cookies
We use a login session cookie and the vote_device fraud-prevention cookie. Both are strictly necessary; we do not use them for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your data
You can request a copy or deletion of your data, or unlink a platform id, at any time by contacting the site operator. Deleting your account removes your identity and unlinks your platform ids.
